About the ACP Conference
The South African Principals’ Association (SAPA) in the Western Cape will be hosting the biennial African Confederation of Principals (ACP) conference in the Century City Convention Centre in Cape Town from the 24th to the 27th of September 2016. Our team has hosted many conferences with great success and many delegates, sponsors and presenters always comment on the excellent organization, programme, etc. We hope to build on the past few years’ successes as we host our first continental conference in Cape Town’s centrally situated convention centre. The theme for this conference is ‘Educating Africa’s Children: Opening the Gateway to Global Citizenship’. We will once again have a great line-up of presenters. We are hoping to attract many principals, deputy principals and other educationists from across the continent to this conference.
“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”Nelson Mandela
One of Thembekile Ndlovu’s (SAPA President) favourite quotes
“A true leader has confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the quality of his actions and the integrity of his intent”.Douglas MacAurthur
